The Friends of BMVC group plays a vital role in supporting and enriching the vibrant musical community of the Blaenavon Male Voice Choir. Since our founding in 1910, we have been dedicated to promoting Welsh musical tradition and fostering a welcoming environment for all members.

Who We Are

The Friends of BMVC group consists of a group of passionate individuals who are committed to the success and well-being of the choir. We work tirelessly behind the scenes to organize events, manage logistics, and fund raise for the choir.

What We Do

There is always something exciting happening within our group - working to help raise funds for the Choir.Here is some of the events planned for the future:-

Raffle for the joint Blaenavon/Shrewsbury Choir on Saturday June 7th (tickets and information available on our events page)

Raffle at our Annual Concert on Sunday June 29th which is running with the Blaenavon Heritage celebrations. (see events for further information and tickets) 

A dinner dance has been arranged for the Choir on Saturday 26th September at Pontypool Golf Club.

As you can see we are always busy and we are always thinking of new ways to raise funds for the Choir.

We are always grateful for any donations and prizes to add to our raffles.

Our sort after felt "Ginger Bread Men" will be on sale at the annual concert on Sunday June 29th (only a few left) where there will be our usual table of raffle prizes.

The Fund Raising Team of BMVC would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who donated raffle prizes for our Annual Concert

It was a very successful evening - thanks to your generosity.

We are always looking for raffle donations as we will use them for future events and we are planning all the time.

We are thinking of another Quiz for our next event - WATCH THIS SPACE.

New Events

 

Monday 25th August - St Cadoc's Church, Trevethin are holding a Medieval Fair the ladies are putting on a book/toy stall

Saturday 26th September - A reminder of the Choir dinner/dance at the Pontypool Golf Club.

Friday 21st November - we are hosting another quiz after our very successful one last year. Details to follow on tickets.
